Ikki was born from the collaboration of two passionate individuals in the fields of gastronomy and hospitality: Yuki, a Japanese chef with extensive experience in cooking and pastry, and Daniela, an Italian wine enthusiast with a special talent for customer service and a solid background in the hospitality industry.
The project began in 2012 in the Raval neighborhood, and later moved to Poble Sec in 2014. From the beginning, the idea has been, and continues to be, to convey authentic Japanese culinary culture in its purest form, all within a casual atmosphere with a Mediterranean touch.
In the beginning, it wasn't easy, as Cabanes Street wasn't as lively as it is today. However, with perseverance, great food, and an excellent atmosphere, we managed to gain the loyalty of the locals and attract visitors from outside, turning our restaurant into a landmark in Poble Sec.

In 2021, Daniela completed a sommelier course, which allowed us to expand our wine list with a selection of natural wines and international labels. These wines have been personally chosen by Daniela to perfectly pair with our dishes.
